Applying as an International Student

For international students, applying to schools in the United States can be especially confusing. Unlike many international university systems, the expectations for coursework, applications, testing and writing vary school to school. Not only that, international students often have additional requirements to be considered for admission, including financial forms, English-fluency tests and online interviews.

At Mosaic College Prep, our counselors teach students how to weigh which kind of environment will be best for them based on their learning styles, personal goals and passions. We then help them approach the applications in a way that highlights their unique voices and talents. We also carefully explain all of the components required to apply, and help students keep track of various deadlines.

Students at International High Schools

For students who do not have any prior experience with the U.S. education system, we introduce different options and how admissions committees evaluate international high school degrees. We then help students target the right colleges and teach them how to share their authentic personalities in their self-presentation.

International students attending U.S. high schools may understand some parts of the college application process, but often do not get the time and attention to focus on their unique needs. We walk through all of the options and then introduce students to how to approach the application process in a way that highlights their unique stories and backgrounds.
