SAT subject tests

SAT Subject Tests are tests of your skills in a particular subject. They are not based upon any specific textbook so as not to give any student a particular advantage. And though these tests are intended to fit current curriculum trends across the nation, they rarely change from year to year.

Every subject test is one hour long, and up to three can be taken on any given testing date. Some schools require up to three Subject Tests in addition to the SAT. Others might recommend that you take them but don’t require them for admission. Some schools only require them for specific programs, so be sure to check the requirements of any school you are even considering applying to before making your test prep plans.
